About Atoms Apparel
We started to Atoms Aparrel to make the t-shirts that we wanted for ourselves. We are hardware hackers. We spend most of our spare time in the shop, building things, hacking things, taking things apart. We spend a good amount of time at places like Goodwill and junk shops looking for old tech to take apart or modify. We like retro computing. We like old 8-bit systems and 8-bit music. We would prefer to build something ourselves than buy something. We like a challenge.
After years of talking about making a shirt for this idea or that idea, we decided to finally do it. We looked around and could'nt find the shirts we wanted. Shirts for makerer, doer, hackers. There are a lot of sites that make shirts for you, but they are mostly all heat transfer, and we wanted good quality, screen printed shirts. So as usual, we did it ourselves.
We geared up, started printing shirts and made some for ourselves. Our shirts got great responses from our friends and other hackers and we got enough requests for shirts that we decided to start a company to sell them. Here it is: Atoms Apparel. Shirts for geeks, by geeks. Professionally screen printed right here in the U.S.A.
